What you will achieve in this role Manage and review tax engagements to ensure completion on time and within budget Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor Provide technical tax guidance and support to clients and internal team members Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the tax department Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff and senior accountants Review tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations Identify tax planning opportunities for clients Contribute to the growth and success of the firm through leadership and client service excellence Balance billable client work with departmental leadership responsibilities What you must bring to this role CPA designation Completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or equivalent advanced tax training 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax Previous leadership or management experience within a public accounting firm Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines Strong client relationship management skills Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities Additional Information Background screening is required as part of the onboarding process.
