Role Description Our client, a well‑established organization with major operations across North America, is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities at a large mission‑critical facility. This role focuses on overseeing technical teams, ensuring reliable operation of complex electrical and mechanical systems, and maintaining a safe, stable environment in a 24/7 operation. You’ll help keep the facility running smoothly by coordinating work fronts, supporting incident response, and maintaining clear communication with leadership and technical teams. This position requires steady leadership, strong technical judgment, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through both routine operations and unexpected events. This is an onsite position in Northern BC and would require location to the area. Relocation Assistance will be provided. Key Responsibilities Site & Operational Leadership Lead daily onsite operations for a large, continuously running facility Provide direction to electrical, mechanical, facilities, and support teams Translate technical issues into clear operational impacts for leadership Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure or system challenges Support site expansion, upgrades, and readiness activities Infrastructure Oversight Oversee operation of electrical and mechanical systems, including: Power distribution and backup systems Cooling and environmental systems Building and equipment monitoring platforms Ensure systems operate within design parameters and risk tolerances Review and approve maintenance strategies, procedures, and schedules Support equipment installs, upgrades, and capacity changes Lead response to abnormal conditions, outages, or technical incidents Direct root‑cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented Identify systemic risks and reliability concerns across operations Capture and communicate lessons learned to improve future performance Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary technical teams Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence Provide visible leadership and ensure clear ownership across shifts Support onboarding, training, and competency development Safety & Compliance Ensure safe work practices across all electrical, mechanical, and facilities operations Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements Uphold strong safety culture and regulatory adherence Communication & Reporting Provide structured reporting on site performance, maintenance activities, and operational risks Communicate clearly with regional leadership and technical stakeholders Ensure operational documentation remains accurate and current Qualifications Required Experience leading operations in mission‑critical or industrial environments such as: oil & gas, mining, pulp & paper, utilities, manufacturing, or similar Proven leadership experience with technical or facilities‑based teams Strong communication skills with the ability to lead confidently and report clearly High‑level understanding of electrical, mechanical, and facilities systems Preferred Experience with complex infrastructure or critical facilities Background in electrical, mechanical, facilities, or technical operations Exposure to regulated or safety‑focused environments How to Apply Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply by sending their resume to: #J-18808-Ljbffr
