About the Opportunity We are hiring an Engineer, Electrical to join the Mount Milligan Mine (MTM) operations site. The role operates on a 14‑days on / 14‑days off rotation, 12‑hour daily schedule with camp accommodations provided. Reporting to the Superintendent, Projects & Infrastructure, the incumbent is responsible for electrical engineering scope within the projects and infrastructure department. Responsibilities Responsible for development and implementation of electrical designs and design standards across various projects. Provide electrical technical support within all department projects and coordinate with external consultants and contractors as required. Manage small multidisciplinary projects from conceptual to detailed engineering through to construction support and commissioning. Review equipment specifications and tender documents for procurement of equipment, including expediting orders to facilitate installation and construction. Prepare and report on a regular basis, including technical reports and provide excellent oral and written communication. Collaborate with Mill and Mine electrical teams as required to complete projects. Perform any other responsibilities related to the Scheduler role as required or as assigned by the department head. Qualifications Registration with EGBC as an EIT or P. Eng. A university degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university. Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, the Mines Act, and CSA M421, Use of Electricity in Mines. Minimum 5 years' experience in the mining industry, preferably open pit. Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good time management and prioritization skills. Experience managing special projects and sub‑contractors. Strong work ethic and a safety‑focused attitude. Good data analytical skills. Working Conditions Camp‑based role at Mount Milligan Mine with a 14x14 rotation, 12 hours per day. Maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts up to 12 hours. Exposure to hazardous environments with requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Safe‑sensitive environment with a zero‑tolerance policy for alcohol or unauthorized drugs. Free bus transportation to and from the site from Prince George, Fort St. James, and Mackenzie.
