Job Description – Storage & Preservation Manager (Wind Components) Location: Remote, Canada Travel: Required as needed Employment Type: Full‑time About the Role Our client is seeking a Storage & Preservation Manager to oversee the safe handling, storage, preservation, and pre‑installation readiness of major wind turbine components across Canada. This role ensures all equipment is maintained to the highest standards, properly documented, and delivered in optimal condition to installation teams. The position is remote with regular travel to project sites. Responsibilities Site Safety Leadership Implement and uphold safety practices at all storage and laydown locations, ensuring a safe environment for employees, subcontractors, and visitors. Safety Culture Development Support an incident‑free workplace in partnership with Health, Safety, and Environment teams. Component Preservation Oversight Ensure all turbine components are stored, preserved, and maintained according to technical requirements and OEM standards. Project Scheduling Support Monitor schedules related to storage, readiness, and release of components to installation teams. Wind Technology Knowledge Maintain a working understanding of turbine installation and commissioning processes to support efficient pre‑installation planning. Cost & Efficiency Management Manage site‑level costs, support efficiency initiatives, and contribute to mitigation of delays or liquidated damages. Data & Reporting Ensure accurate and timely updates in project information systems, including preservation logs, inspection records, and readiness reports. Documentation & Billing Maintain accurate documentation for billing, inventory tracking, and accounts receivable support. Quality Oversight Inspect stored components to ensure compliance with preservation plans, specifications, and quality standards. Team Leadership Coach and mentor site personnel including Preservation Technicians, Field Coordinators, and QSE staff. Communication & Vision Communicate organizational goals clearly and motivate teams toward shared objectives. Adaptive Planning Adjust work plans based on changing priorities, weather conditions, and project timelines. Ethical & Responsible Execution Demonstrate accountability, sound judgment, and commitment to efficient, ethical project delivery. Contractual Awareness Understand and support fulfillment of the client’s contractual obligations related to storage, preservation, and component readiness. Qualifications Knowledge of wind turbine components , storage requirements, and pre‑installation processes. Ability to travel across Canada as required. Experience with SAP , Procore , or similar project management or inventory systems is an asset. Strong documentation and reporting skills. Proficient with MS Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills, including public speaking and professional correspondence. Ability to make sound financial decisions related to travel and expenses. Demonstrated potential for advancement within a growing team.
