Our Retail teams collaborate with Wealth, Small Business, and Mobile Mortgage Specialists to support Members’ holistic financial growth. As Financial Services Associate, you will join a team of highly engaged professionals dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. As a senior member of the branch sales team, you will understand Members’ financial needs and provide appropriate advice and recommendations, including large or more complex credit and investment guidance. You will work to meet and exceed individual and team-based goals while managing Member portfolios to build lasting relationships. What you’ll do Member Experience Understand how Meridian’s products and services can add value to Members Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that meet Member needs Provide recommendations on credit products based on accurate credit interviewing and underwriting skills Engage in revenue generation and sales activities to achieve performance objectives; build external centers of influence to optimize sales and service results Use provided tools to proactively identify and promote opportunities with all Members to deepen relationships and provide service excellence Embrace virtual technology platforms to host meetings and communicate effectively with Members Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Members’ privacy Employee Experience Act as an engaged teammate and trusted partner to build internal relationships and achieve Retail Experience goals Demonstrate empathy and promote inclusivity and belonging in the workplace Continue personal learning and development aligned with Meridian values and Employee Engagement results Participate in planning with the leadership team and assist with implementation and feedback Lead as needed in the Branch Manager’s absence and model positive team behavior Community Experience Promote Meridian in the community through participation in events and by demonstrating Company Values Support local community organizations through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program, including planning and delivery of Meridian-hosted events What you can bring to Meridian Recent university graduates with a 4-year degree in Business or Economics Strong knowledge of business and financial industry with a desire for career growth MFDA licensing is required for most roles Flexibility to work all scheduled hours, including some evenings and Saturdays Proficiency with computers and programs including Microsoft Office and Outlook Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including coaching and leadership Effective organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities Comfort learning and adopting new digital tools, including AI-enabled technology to enhance productivity and Member experience Salary and Benefits Salary Range: CAD $52,000 – $78,000 annually. Compensation is based on skills, experience, and internal equity. You may be placed higher within the range based on alignment to the role’s requirements.
