The Role Prepare simple and complex accounting entries to record transactions Prepare key financial reports, including financial statements, financial dashboards and budgets for clients of varying size and scope Determine how to record unusual, non-recurring accounting transactions Review and approve payments and invoices initiated by Accounts Payable Specialist Review accounting transactions recorded by Accounts Payable Specialist Perform/review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Review and process expense reports, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate Review payroll registers and assist on payroll matters for various clients (corporate & individual) Prepare, reconcile or review quarterly HST and WSIB payments Perform other complex accounting and financial analysis as requested Assist Controller with various tasks The Candidate Several years of accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment. Strong grasp of accounting principles, internal controls, and year-end processes. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adaptable in fast‑paced, small office settings. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word; comfortable with new technologies. Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and sound judgment.
