Position Overview The Regional Manager shall direct and manage all branch activities to achieve specific goals and targets, mentor Branch Managers, and invest in organizational personnel to ensure high retention rates and attract qualified applicants. This role oversees performance of all operational functions, conveys trust and satisfaction to members and staff, and maintains regular contact with Vice Presidents, management, and branch personnel, as well as external partners such as lawyers, accountants, appraisers, and members. Responsibilities Manage, lead and mentor designated Branch Managers. Work with the Executive on deposit and loan targets as a contribution through the Vision Credit Union Ltd. joint planning committee. Promote and monitor branch performance in all key categories and take remedial action as required to maximize benefits. Serve as a leader, mentor and team player in key credit union initiatives and ensure ongoing progress in Business Development initiatives. Monitor the level of member service provided by branch managers. Assist branches in resolving conflict while reinforcing continuous respectful communication between all staff. Train and coach branch managers toward establishing the required knowledge base and skills to reach specific targets. Conduct branch visits and prepare annual written individual branch assessments as required. Recommend periodic strategies to Vice Presidents regarding interest rates, investment strategies, and policies. Maintain strong working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislations, compliance issues, and changes; keep current on all Vision Credit Union Ltd. products. Ensure adherence to Money Laundering and FINTRAC policies and procedures. Ensure all personnel understand the organization’s mission and objectives and work together to achieve stated goals. Conduct annual performance evaluations for all subordinate employees. Monitor and utilize the Regional Calendar. Adhere to all Vision Credit Union Ltd. policies and procedures. Follow compliance policies related to Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Guidelines. Assist the Vice President of Business Development/Vice President of Branch Operations with other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma. At least 5 years of credit granting or other financial institution lending experience. Post‑secondary training (asset). Proven management, coaching, and motivational skills including exposure to all areas of lending, banking floor, and accounting. Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of members and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions. Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills. Superior management and leadership skills, multitasking, and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision. Strong mathematical and logical reasoning skills. Professional appearance and manners. High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Positive work ethic and team attitude. Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to supervise employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. High level of critical and logical thinking to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. Compensation Salary range $85,000 to $125,000 per annum. Comprehensive benefits package.
