Our financial solutions include open and closed‑end investment funds, fee‑based, tax‑advantaged, and customized high‑net‑worth programs.Purpose:Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, the Vice‑President, Business Development will work within the assigned territory to generate sales and develop new business, while servicing and managing existing clients on Dynamic products and services. Additionally, the role will provide leadership and mentoring support to the Inside Sales Representative assigned to the territory and perform follow‑up duties for their own activities with support from the Sales Associate responsible for servicing the territory.In this role you will:Manage a defined territory to generate sales and develop new businessLead by establishing long‑lasting relationships, servicing existing clients, and prospecting for new onesUse in‑depth knowledge of our products, practice‑management skills, and interpersonal skills to increase sales and retain assetsArrange one‑on‑one, group and/or branch meetings with financial advisors to promote company products and services (20 meetings a week)Assign daily tasks to the ISR and the SA for follow‑upSchedule and host events, roadshows and manager meetingsDevelop a strategic business plan for the year and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales from advisors within the territorySegment the client base to define service levels and ensure sales from various distribution channels and firms (1–250)Maintain and service client relationships using territory rotations to increase sales and diversify product usageMake daily calls to clients who purchase or redeem above set targetsSubmit expenses and maintain the overall budget for the region, including approving co‑op requests, charitable donations, promotional items and quarterly ticket/meal allocationsData‑mine using the Diagnostic Selling Process and populate the CRM system with all information retrieved during meetingsRespond to client inquiries and follow up on leads from the ISRGenerate and develop new business relationshipsMentor the ISR through continuous coaching and feedbackPresent to advisors on new products, business‑building ideas and tax‑planning strategiesWork extensively and within a supportive team environment to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives (sales rep & sales associate)Be involved in special projects as requiredAdhere to Scotiabank Global Sales Principles and understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisionsDo you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role?
