Project Overview The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It includes the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which will have a storage capacity of 250,000 m 3and will produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.Position The Process Engineering Manager is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG's operations team. The Process Engineering Manager will work with a small team of multi-discipline engineers, supporting the plant Operations group through construction, commissioning, start-up and steady state, ensuring safe, reliable and sustainable production, thus meeting our offtaker's requirements. The successful candidate reports directly to the Process Engineering Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the company's Operations team, Commercial team and external stakeholders through the construction and operating phases of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to a process support team, on Process Engineering, Process Control, Production Planning and Laboratory Services and Management SystemSupport the start-up of the plant, working with the plant Operations group in optimizing the commissioning and start-up scheduleManage Production Planning and Forecasting and provide support to the Marketing functionManage the plant feed gas demand and interface with the pipeline operator, Fortis BCManage offtake of LNG cargoes and Condensate parcels and provide assurance on quantity and quality of thoseSet and manage daily, weekly, monthly plant mass balance and performance reportsSet up and manage hydrocarbon accounting in conjunction with Finance and Commercial functionsPrepare for and manage and report on process unit and equipment performance test runsMonitor and report on the performance of the plant process units and utility systems on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, with the objective to continuously improve on process safety, reliability and efficiencyIn conjunction with the Environment function, be the lead on management of methane abatement, energy efficiency improvement and emissions managementSupport maximization of plant capacity through process simulation, calculations and reportingBe the owner of process safety management for the company. Lead and implement all process safety requirements. Provide process safety assurance to management and stakeholdersBe the owner of the Woodfibre Management System for the company. Lead the initial set up and ongoing development of itBe the owner of Integrated Activity Planning for the company. Lead the initial set up and ongoing development of itProvide support to plant trip investigation/reporting and reliability improvementSet up an effective advanced control system for the early operations phase of the plant and enhance this with plant optimization functionalities in following yearsBe the owner of process control domain securityContinuously improve plant performance through initiation and follow through on Management of Change and lead the pre-FEED maturation of sustainable capital projectsLead the HAZOP and other process safety reviews where required.
