Logistics Role Type: 6-Month, Contract-to-Hire Role Environment: On-Site, 5x/week in North Vancouver, BC Hourly Rate: $25-$33/hr Day-to-Day: Insight Global is looking for an experienced and highly organized Office Administrator to support the daily operations of a growing engineering organization local to North Vancouver. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly while supporting HR/payroll coordination, and administrative functions tied to a global team. On a day-to-day basis, this person will start their morning by reviewing emails and prioritizing tasks, which can range from finance-related requests (such as invoice or vendor coordination with the global team) to ad hoc administrative needs that arise unexpectedly. They will also support employee-related inquiries, including time entry corrections, vacation tracking, and general HR-related questions, while working closely with global HR and payroll teams. Monthly responsibilities include reconciling receipts and submitting expense reports to the global finance team to align with corporate credit card statements. This role will also involve managing office operations such as ordering supplies (office materials, kitchen items, etc.), coordinating with external vendors, and troubleshooting facility-related issues such as alarm systems or general office maintenance. The individual will regularly liaise with the IT team multiple times per week to address technical issues and ensure smooth system functionality. Additionally, this person will act as the key administrator for internal systems, including time tracking and HR platforms, ensuring employee records are maintained accurately and users are properly onboarded, updated, or deactivated. They will also support with recruitment coordination as needed. A key part of the role includes planning and executing team events, company gatherings, and office initiatives, requiring strong ownership and leadership. The environment is highly dynamic, with no two days looking the same, and requires someone who can comfortably manage a wide variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Must Haves: 2+ years' experience working in an office administration capacity Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable interacting with employees, leadership, and global teams Experience supporting office operations, administration, or coordination (office management, HR support, or similar) Plusses: Experience working in a global or matrixed organization Exposure to HR, payroll coordination, or employee lifecycle support Experience managing office events, team-building activities, or company functions Familiarity with time tracking or HR systems Experience coordinating with vendors, IT support, or external service providers
