We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, and experienced Technologist to join our Montreal team focused on automation, self-service tooling, and upgrading critical infrastructure components to modern DevOps tooling. The role involves developing solutions using Python, RESTful Services (Java), Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating with global counterparts and internal customers. After onboarding and training, the candidate will take ownership of products, driving enhancements, extensions, and remediation of key infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable covering the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation. The Data Engineering group in Core Infrastructure at Client provides technologies and platforms required to model, provision, transform, analyze, report, visualize, store, and protect enterprise data. This team is responsible for the delivery and operation of these products. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automation and self-service tooling for infrastructure operations. Write robust, maintainable, and well-documented code in Core Java and Python. Build unit testing into all solutions to ensure quality and reliability. Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, integration, and optimization using Jenkins and related tools. Troubleshoot issues across code, operating systems, networks, storage, and hardware. Collaborate with global teams to prioritize and execute product enhancements, remediation, and extensions. Provide on-call support as part of a rotation. Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Required Qualifications Strong coding skills in **Core Java** and **Python**. Effective troubleshooting across multiple layers: code, O/S, network, storage, and hardware. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to provide on-call support. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes) and container tooling (Podman). Experience with Agile methodology and tools (Git, Jira, BitBucket, Jenkins). Knowledge of data technologies (DB2, Sybase, Postgres, MongoDB). Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
