Summary of responsibilities Under the supervision of the CSA Director (Civil, Structural & Architectural), the selected candidate will be part of the team dedicated to the engineering of light and heavy industrial buildings. More specifically, they will be responsible for: Design and prepare calculation notes for concrete structures in heavy industrial buildings. Design and prepare calculation notes for steel structures in heavy industrial buildings. Review and assisting in the preparation of engineering drawings, design specifications, standard documents and engineering reports. Follow-up with site construction, steel fabricators and review shop drawings. Check 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability issues with other disciplines. Participate in the preparation of estimates, bills of quantities, schedules and budgets. Ensure plans comply with guidelines, building code requirements, and international standards and regulations. Prepare and monitor progress of construction schedules. Prepare cost and time estimates. Participate in schedule development, ensure compliance with contractual schedules and develop corrective measures and action plans when necessary. Maintain accurate design files for future reference. Requirements Member of the Ordres des ingénieurs du Québec. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, specializing in steel and concrete design. Experience in the design of concrete and steel structures for heavy industrial facilities. Experience in the mining sector and international projects is considered a strong asset. Experience working in an international or multicultural environment. Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required. Good knowledge of specialized software such as SAP2000, ETABS, ADA or similar. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Additional information The position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Brossard, south shore of Montreal. Possibility of travelling abroad depending on the availability of the candidate.
