Senior Manager – Canadian Tax Practice BDO is looking for a Senior Manager to own the following responsibilities: Evaluate client business processes and policies, advise on tax policy and change to meet market needs, and develop proactive tax strategies. Apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address tax issues relevant to the client’s business. Provide both technical and project management leadership to team members for Domestic Tax projects or assignments. Ensure quality control standards. Identify and develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities, including preparing & reviewing tax reorganizations and reviewing corporate, trust and estate tax returns. Build positive working relationships with clients and provide effective support for engagements. Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team. Success Metrics Understand industries BDO serves and contribute to the group's advancement. Ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining necessary technical knowledge and professional development. Recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to engagements. Actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development. Support firm’s revenue growth by referring clients to other service lines and acquiring new clients. Experience & Education Completed CPA designation as well as the In-Depth Tax Program and/or Masters in Tax. 7 years experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 3 years. Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance. Values teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work. Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills. Compensation The expected range of compensation for this role is $125,000 - $175,000 annually. #J-18808-Ljbffr
