Supplier Quality Development Project Manager Job details: permanent, full‑time, located in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. Job description Support the supplier approvals process by providing quality interpretation of requirements, ensuring action plans are in progress, and anticipating risks to prevent deviations. Support internal supplier stakeholders to raise supplier skills for major deviations on new requirements (SMS, iSMS, APQP). Ensure new suppliers and suppliers in deviation implement robust plans to meet quality requirements, deploying standards for compliance. Assist Supplier Relationship Actors as needed. Support supplier onboarding, approval, and risk mitigation activities. Lead retrospective APQP reviews to assess supplier product and process performance post‑launch. Support supplier stakeholders in root cause analysis and ensure sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Evaluate feasibility and support supplier quality development plans using tools such as FMEA, PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, 8D, and SPC. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Procurement, Engineering, Operations) to align supplier quality initiatives with business objectives. Conduct supplier process audits, capability studies, and performance assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Maintain documentation and metrics to track supplier performance and drive accountability. Candidate skills & requirements Education: Master degree (Engineering or equivalent). Experience: minimum 5–8 years in quality or engineering, preferably in aeronautics. Knowledge of supplier quality processes, including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, 8D. Strong project management and cross‑functional team leadership. Excellent written and oral communication in English. Rigour and organization in quality project follow‑up. Good interpersonal skills with internal teams and external suppliers. Additional requirements: ability to travel frequently to suppliers abroad; willingness to work in a demanding environment.
