We are working with a renowned general contractor to find a Senior HSE Coordinator to join their team. The HSE Field Coordinator supports and enhances safety and environmental performance across multiple field projects; contributes to incident investigations, and bridges field operations. Additionally, as a senior Coordinator, you will provide expert guidance, mentor junior HSE Coordinators, and ensure full compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Roles and responsibilities Support the implementation of company-wide HSE programs across multiple job sites. Ensure compliance with OHSA, ISO 14001, COR, and other safety/environmental standards. Lead site inspections, audits, and track corrective actions to completion. Oversee subcontractor safety compliance, providing guidance and enforcement. Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective plans. Prepare and present HSE reports; analyze trends to identify risks and prevention strategies. Mentor HSE Coordinators and deliver training, ensuring certifications and records are up to Date. Promote a safety-first culture and support emergency preparedness and continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in HSE roles within the construction industry, including significant field-based experience. Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation is an asset. In-depth understanding of OHSA, ISO 14001, COR, and other relevant HSE regulations and standards. Comprehensive knowledge of COR and ISO audit processes, with accreditation or eligibility to be accredited to conduct audits under the respective standards. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with diverse site teams. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in HSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite; SALUS experience considered an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in incident investigation and data interpretation.
