Compass Minerals, a leading global provider of essential minerals, is hiring a Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Underground Salt Mine in Goderich, Ontario.Position requires relocation to Goderich, Ontario. Relocation assistance is provided for qualified candidates.How you will contributePerform calculations and designs for structures such as conveyor beltline systems, transfer towers, crusher and screen supports, material transfer/storage systems, and foundations.Evaluate existing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures to determine feasible modifications for new or additional equipment while ensuring safety and structural integrity.Assess surface and underground infrastructure to determine repairs or replacements and recommend remediation programs.Create civil/structural designs that comply with applicable codes and standards.Perform project management functions including cost control, schedule preparation, tender document preparation, bid analysis, and commissioning oversight.Oversee consultants and contractors to ensure quality performance.Prepare risk assessments and manage change functions to comply with mining regulations and company standards.Provide direction to engineering personnel, contractors, and consultants.Assist other engineering personnel as required.Review and approve shaft heavy lift plans.Coordinate civil/structural improvement projects from concept to implementation.Assist in value engineering analyses to ensure effective use of company resources.Act as subject matter expert on site engineering standards and industry best practices.Create technical drawings with AutoCAD and Solidworks.Perform other related duties as required.What you should bringBachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Professional Engineer (P.
