Contract: 1‑year initial term (strong potential for extension) About the Opportunity Brunel has partnered with a large midstream company that is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the a project on the west coast . This role is ideal for experienced engineering professional who began their career in an EPC environment and later transitioned to the owner’s side, particularly within capital or maintenance capital projects. This is a high‑visibility role requiring exceptional communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to operate confidently in a technical, detail‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate engineering deliverables between EPC partners, internal stakeholders, and fabrication shops. Oversee and follow up on package fabrication , particularly process equipment manufactured in shop environments. Provide technical oversight while ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and cost objectives. Act as a primary communication bridge between engineering teams, project managers, operations, and leadership. Support both engineering-side and owner-side project execution activities. Participate in periodic site visits or short-duration travel (every couple of months). Contribute to a collaborative, learning-oriented team culture. Required Qualifications 10 to 15 years of engineering experience in oil & gas, midstream, or related heavy industrial sectors. Early-career experience working for an EPC or engineering consulting firm . Subsequent experience on the owner’s side supporting capital or maintenance capital projects. Strong understanding of engineering workflows, project execution, and fabrication processes. Demonstrated ability to operate in a technical, detail-oriented environment. Outstanding communication skills — clear, direct, confident, and able to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Preferred Experience Midstream or gas processing project experience.
