Our client is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join their home warranty claims team in a full-time, in-office capacity. About You You are an experienced claims professional with a strong background in home warranty, property, or construction-related claims. You are comfortable handling complex files, reviewing technical documentation, and making sound coverage decisions grounded in policy wording, legislation, and industry standards. You bring a high level of professionalism to your work and are confident communicating with homeowners, builders, developers, consultants, and internal stakeholders. You are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Investigate, assess, and manage complex home warranty claims, including coverage review, liability analysis, and evaluation of construction defects and risk exposure Act as a senior point of contact for escalated claims involving homeowners, strata representatives, builders, and developers Interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry performance standards Review engineering reports, technical assessments, and expert opinions related to claim files Coordinate third-party contractors and consultants to support scoping, estimating, and repair management Prepare clear, well-reasoned correspondence and claim decisions aligned with policy wording and internal guidelines Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior claims team members as needed Engage external professionals to support claim investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution strategy Assist with subrogation, indemnity recovery, and cost-sharing efforts where applicable Maintain accurate, organized, and timely claim documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal standards Work collaboratively with underwriting, inspections, and other internal departments to support strong risk management practices Participate in work-related functions and industry events as required Maintain required insurance licensing in accordance with applicable regulatory standards Necessary Qualifications Include Level 2 Insurance License preferred Ability to obtain or maintain a Level 2 License within six months Experience handling home warranty or property claims Strong understanding of claims investigation, policy interpretation, and technical file management Ability to review and interpret technical reports and supporting documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Additional language skills such as Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, or Cantonese would be considered an asset Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skillsExcellent organizational and time‑management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional interpersonal style and strong teamwork orientation What’s in It for You Senior‑level opportunity within a specialized claims environment Exposure to complex and high‑value warranty and construction‑related claims Collaborative team culture with strong technical support Competitive compensation, expected to start in the $80,000 to $100,000 range, depending on experience, location, and overall scope of the role Company benefits program Professional development and training support Positive in‑office team environment Access to on‑site wellness amenities and resources Education Required Adjuster’s License CIP CIP Partial Completion #J-18808-Ljbffr
