Head of Publishing (Video Games) Location: Ontario, Canada (Hybrid/Remote options available) Company: Titan1Studios Reports to: CEO / President About Titan1Studios Titan1Studios is a North American award‑winning cross‑media studio with offices in Calgary and Toronto. We specialize in developing original IP across a diverse spectrum of media, including graphic novels, film, television, and interactive technology. From the high‑octane stealth action of Cat Assassin (starring Dave Bautista) to the genre‑defying Love is a Roguelite and the haunting atmosphere of Events at Unity Farm, we create content that resonates across platforms. We are now strategically adding internal publishing capabilities to support our growing slate of first‑party titles and a curated selection of select third‑party developer partners. The Mission We are seeking a Head of Publishing to spearhead this new division. This isn't about shifting who we are; it’s about taking full ownership of how our stories reach the world. You will build the infrastructure to launch games across PC, Console, VR, and Mobile, ensuring our IP—and that of our partners—receives a bespoke, high‑touch publishing treatment. The "Sleeves Up" Factor At Titan1Studios, leadership isn't a spectator sport. We are a lean, high‑output team where the Head of Publishing must be as comfortable navigating a multi‑million dollar distribution deal as they are drafting a Steam community update or troubleshooting a metadata error. You are a builder who isn't afraid to wear multiple hats—strategist, marketer, and project manager—to cross the finish line. What You’ll Do Establish the Pipeline: Design and implement the end‑to‑end workflow for launching both internal and select third‑party titles. Global Expansion & Partnerships: Proactively seek out and secure co‑publishing and co‑financing opportunities to expand our footprint and ensure our titles reach all parts of the globe. GTM & Strategy: Own the Go‑To‑Market roadmap for our upcoming slate, ensuring maximum impact for Cat Assassin, Love is a Roguelite, Welcome: A Cozy Estuary, and Armadillo Avalanche. Platform Relations: Manage high‑level relationships with Sony, Xbox, Nintendo, Valve, and Epic, while also handling the "nitty‑gritty" of storefront submissions and IARC ratings. Marketing & PR Mastery: Lead the vision for trailers, influencers, and press outreach. You’ll often be the one "sending the emails" and "making the calls" to ensure our games get the spotlight. Cross‑Media Synergy: Collaborate with our Film/TV and Publishing (Books/Comics) teams to ensure game launches synchronize with broader IP milestones. Who You Are The Player‑Coach: 8+ years in game publishing. You have the executive presence to report to the CEO, but the tactical grit to manage a Discord server or edit a press release yourself. The Multi‑Hyphenate: You have likely worked in agile studios where you had to learn every facet of the publishing cycle, from Steamworks backend to PAX booth logistics. The Connector: You possess a deep rolodex of platform holders, press contacts, and creators. The Scaler: You are excited by the challenge of building a department from the ground up within an already successful, multi‑disciplinary studio. Position Summary The Head of Publishing is responsible for the commercial success and global distribution of Titan1Studios' interactive portfolio. This role bridges the gap between development and the player, requiring a leader who can manage high‑level P&L and strategy while executing daily tactical publishing tasks. Key Responsibilities Strategy Global GTM and pricing strategies. Writing Steam store descriptions and managing tags. Partnerships Negotiating first‑party and 3rd party dev contracts. Incentive Program: Performance‑based bonuses tied to global revenue milestones, successful co‑financing acquisitions, and key title launch KPIs.
