We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Site HSE Advisor to support our permanent modular construction projects team across the Western Canada region. This is a temporary role designed to drive HSE excellence, ensuring that safety is at the forefront of everything we do while promoting environmental responsibility. You’ll be the go-to expert for all health, safety, and environmental concerns, making a real impact on our high-priority projects. Under the direction and leadership of HSE Manager, the Site HSE Advisor is responsible for implementation and execution of HSE Programs as it pertains to the specific site, including organizing, coaching, implementing and monitoring of employees and programs. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team in achieving the customer requirements for health, safety and environmental objectives and organization at the customer’s site. This is a full time, temporary role with 18 months contract with potential to extension. Responsibilities: Work closely with the Construction Management Team to promote a total environmental, health and safety culture Communicate the vision and the importance of environmental, health and safety practices and policies while assuming an active and visible leadership role in ongoing environmental, health and safety initiatives Lead and coach personnel in their environment and safety related accountabilities/responsibilities Ensure corporate and customer policies, procedures and requirements are followed and executed flawlessly Maintain records as required Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for staff and contractors Bring forward and assist in the development of short- and long-term strategies for the future development and maturation of the HSE program on site Act as a resource and expert regarding HSE within other groups Respond to work site emergencies Other duties as assigned Qualifications: A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE advisory roles within construction, engineering, or industrial environments. Ability to travel frequently to project sites across Western Canada. NCSO and/or CRSP designation required. Proven ability to develop and implement safety programs and processes effectively. Experience with JHA development, Safe work practice, Accident Investigation, Inspection Processes, ERP development, Data entry, WCB and familiarity with construction processes. Possess an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Work Safe BC), the Worker’s Compensation Act and Board’s policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
