We are seeking an experienced and motivated GCP Observability Engineer to join our Observability Fleet. This role focuses on developing and modernizing observability platforms in both private and public cloud environments, primarily Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will design, implement, and maintain solutions for telemetry (tracing, metrics, logging) to enhance reliability and system uptime. The position involves close collaboration with software developers, SREs, infrastructure, and security teams to drive observability automation and best practices in hybrid cloud environments. Job Responsibilities: Build and support modernization and integration of observability tools in private and public cloud platforms (GCP, AKS, EKS) Design and automate telemetry, logging, and monitoring solutions, including dashboards, alerts, and CI/CD integration Enable teams to leverage observability data for performance, reliability, and security, providing actionable insights Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and Security teams to implement and promote observability standards Mentor and upskill internal teams via knowledge transfer sessions Participate in on-call rotations as needed Required Skills: 5+ years of experience in Observability, Logging, and Monitoring in enterprise environments Hands-on experience with observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Cortex, Tempo, ElasticSearch, Datadog, Splunk, etc. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms like GKE Strong skills in configuring dashboards, alerts, and alarms using Grafana and/or GCP Monitoring Experience integrating observability tools with CI/CD pipelines and automating via scripting (Python, Bash, JSON, YAML, Terraform) Proficiency with Linux OS and databases such as MySQL, DB2, MSSQL Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of enterprise service components including web servers, app servers, databases, storage, and security Preferred Skills: Experience with application instrumentation for distributed tracing, metrics, and log collection Familiarity with Python, Java, or Go Experience with log parsing and regular expressions for data extraction Knowledge of DevOps tooling and infrastructure automation Background with APM solutions and end-user monitoring integrations Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud platforms Understanding of enterprise architecture: 3-tier models, HA/DR, active-active configurations Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, firewalls, load balancers, OSI model) Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years in observability engineering or related roles Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field preferred Equivalent experience will be considered Email ID * This field is required Please enter valid emailId.
