About the Role S&P Global Energy supports end‑to‑end spatial data workflows—ingestion, validation, transformation, and delivery—while ensuring quality, standardization, and automation. We are looking for a motivated GIS developer to develop and automate spatial data processes, with strong knowledge of GIS data concepts and an interest in the full workflow of our spatial data products. Job Responsibilities Develop new spatial data ETL processes and datasets to support application and customer deliveries. Create new spatial datasets in collaboration with product owners, subject matter experts and business leads. Work with the spatial delivery team to automate and optimise existing data processes. Ensure spatial data deliveries are consistent and maintained across our customer applications. Assist with internal technology migrations to cloud‑based database platforms. Apply problem‑solving to troubleshoot data concerns and customer enquiries. Be a subject‑matter expert for our spatial data processes and derived datasets. Stay current with rapidly changing technology, applying it to projects and business needs. Perform other related duties as required. Required Technical Skills 2 years of experience in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics or a related field preferred. Proficient using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, QGIS). Experience using spatial data ETL software (e.g., FME Form, FME Flow). Scripting/automation experience (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder, PyQGIS). Hands‑on experience with SQL queries and relational databases. Strong interest in spatial data concepts and spatial data management practices. Understanding of coordinate systems, projections and datum transformations. Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Optional Technical Skills Knowledge of cloud‑based database platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.). Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms. Organisational Relationships Reports directly to Development Manager. Collaborates with data and application teams across the organisation.
