Position OverviewThe Sr. Analyst, 3rd Party Gift Cards, will support Walmart Canada’s Financial Services team by providing leadership, insight, and expertise on the 3rd party gift card business. The successful candidate will serve as a subject‑matter expert, advise Walmart category managers, the business and leadership, and hold direct P&L responsibility reporting to the Director, Gift Cards & Alternate Payments. This is a 12‑month contract position. ResponsibilitiesSupport leadership with long‑range planning for the 3rd party and prepaid gift card business. Develop business plans, monthly financial reports, and ad‑hoc analytics to drive support for the business. Collaborate with Walmart Associates, internal stakeholders, and external partners across marketing, analytics, operations, and customer care to unlock category growth and innovation. Monitor and optimize 3rd party gift card processes both in-store and online. Guarantee flawless execution for all 3rd party and prepaid gift card programs in‑store and online. Own the strategic partnership with eComm and other gift card partners, develop relationships, unlock growth and align mutual interests. Lead quarterly business reviews, development opportunities, and annual planning to deliver results and identify new market opportunities. Lead new projects and strategic initiatives for the 3rd party gift card program. Negotiate marketing offers, securing card partner investment for key promotions and value‑adds on behalf of Walmart Canada. Develop and maintain a full‑year marketing plan and collaborate with Walmart Connect Canada and marketing teams for approvals. Plan and execute digital, in‑store, and out‑of‑home awareness tactics. Secure buy‑in to launch new card partner brands. Develop and maintain planograms to ensure consistent display of gift cards across all stores, maximizing sales, profit, and in‑stock position. Conduct competitive quarterly analysis to keep Walmart Canada abreast of industry trends and opportunities. Act as the first point of contact to manage challenges related to card issues, inventory, merchandising, and replenishment. Manage the gift card customer support inbox, responding to and resolving all inquiries and executive escalations. QualificationsMinimum education: University degree. Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, or Sales. Knowledge of the financial services or payments industry. Proven self‑starter with demonstrated initiative, ability to drive results, and passion for championing projects from conception through implementation and evaluation. Strong relationship management and business development skills with internal and external partners. Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of creating and delivering effective presentations. Strategic thinker with a deep passion for understanding and solving customers’ needs. Ability to analyze diverse data sets, including key performance metrics, competitive data, and financial data. Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing next steps, and meeting deadlines; project management experience is a plus. Excellent planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail; highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
