The Chandaria Research Centre (CRC) at Branksome Hall is seeking two dedicated academic or organizational researchers to join our Advisory Board (CRCAB), beginning September 2026. Established in 2016, the CRC is an applied research centre situated at Branksome Hall, a K–12 independent school for girls. The centre is a hub for advancing knowledge in girls’ learning, well‑being, and international mindedness. The Mandate As a member of the CRCAB, your primary role is to support the development of the Centre through strategic and ethical oversight. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Advising: Providing guidance on the CRC’s goals, activities, and research policies. Ethical Oversight: Reviewing internal and external research requests for ethical and design considerations. Quality Assurance: Assessing the quality and quantity of proposed research activities. Community Engagement: Supporting community members engaged in CRC‑connected research and participating in centre events. Who We Are Looking For External Expertise: You must be external to Branksome Hall. Research Background: You are an academic or organizational researcher with expertise in education research or a related discipline. Ethics Qualification: You are qualified to serve on Research Ethics Boards (REB) (e.g., you have advanced expertise in research, experience with conducting research with human participants, and have completed or are willing to complete the TCPS 2 CORE). Conflict of Interest: You must not have a conflict of interest (such as holding a similar position at another school, being a parent of a current student, or having financial ties to Branksome Hall). Commitment & Participation Term: Members serve a minimum four‑year term. Meetings: Attendance is required at bi‑annual meetings (at least twice per year) held on‑site at Branksome Hall in Toronto. Rotating Review: Each external member is assigned a two‑month "on‑call" period annually to review incoming research requests. Nature of Role: This is a voluntary position.
