Treasury Department – Analyst, Financial Institutions Treasury Mandate To assist the Head of Treasury and Deputy Head of Treasury in managing the Branch’s Treasury department (Financial institution management) Key Tasks Client Acquisition & Maintenance New Client Development - Identify potential clients through different channels. Build and maintain client profile. Client Relationship Management - Conduct regular visits to key clients. Monitor changes in clients' financial needs. Product Marketing Recommend tailored product portfolios Explain product features and risk disclosures Execute sales processes (KYC, suitability assessment, etc.) Account Management Assist with account opening/modification/closure Handle basic transactions (deposits, transfers, etc.) Credit Services Collect credit application materials Preliminary credit assessment Post-loan management (risk monitoring, risk alerts) AML Implementation Client Due Diligence (CDD) Reporting large/suspicious transactions, related party transactions Target Achievement Product promoting Client acquisition metrics Credit service quality Assist to execute Treasury transactions Assist to develop the branch’s treasury business plans and strategies Assist to develop local funding program and diversify the branch’s funding source Assist to process Treasury transaction reconciliation and record keeping Job Specifications Education Undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting, finance or banking MBA, CA or CFA, an asset Required Experience Minimum 3 years of FI relationship manager or treasury experience in banking industry Extensive knowledge of financial products, banking services, and related regulatory issues, with familiarity of current Canadian financial institutions regulatory requirements, with the focus on currency and financial derivatives in local and offshore funding markets Rich network with treasury functions in other local and or offshore leading banks Skills and Abilities Strong oral and written communication, reporting, and presentation skills in English; Mandarin and simplified Chinese an asset Familiarity with PC based applications with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) Positive and professional work attitude with strong integrity and work ethics with awareness of and resilience against undue influence and foreign interference Effective approach to build and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships Detail oriented, exceptionally organized, proficient in time/project management to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines Reports to: Head - Treasury Direct Reports: None
