Your testing and automation skills will help deliver clean code, and you will be comfortable writing new code to solve our customers’ AI data lake challenges while improving productivity through refactoring.Role Overview As a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET), you will work as part of teams responsible for delivering an enterprise‑class NetApp storage software product. You will oversee quality aspects of new features, high‑load performance, and accelerate release cadence while maintaining robustness. Your tasks include participating in feature design discussions, creating and executing test plans, and building automated nightly and system tests.Job ResponsibilitiesWrite and execute test plans for new features, ensuring error‑free integration and high‑traffic performance.Develop automation for nightly and system tests.Set up and maintain test configurations, environments, and tools for long‑term testing.Participate in design discussions to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and review proposed solutions.Identify, report, and investigate issues discovered through testing.Job Requirements5+ years of experience in software development or testing and automation.Proficiency in Ruby or an equivalent scripting language.Experience with Linux, Cassandra or similar databases, REST API development and testing (preferred: Cloud APIs such as AWS S3).Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Test‑Driven Development (TDD), and continuous integration.Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.Preferred SkillsHands‑on experience testing distributed storage systems or other complex, large‑scale software.Experience with AI‑driven code development, AI‑assisted test plan creation, or handling issues generated by AI.Education Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline. Equivalent work experience may satisfy the requirement.Compensation and Benefits Target salary range: 117,300 – 151,800 CAD. Salary will be determined by location, qualifications, experience, and education.
