Outside Sales Representative – Commercial Truck Rental The Opportunity Zeemac is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth through new business development and the management of existing commercial accounts. This role is central to our "one-stop shop" philosophy, ensuring clients have a single, reliable partner for all their fleet needs. Beyond traditional rentals, you will be responsible for identifying customers whose needs have evolved. By recognizing seasonal ramp-ups and long-term growth patterns, you will uncover qualified leasing opportunities and coordinate seamless transitions to our leasing division to support overall company growth. What You’ll Do Strategic Business Development: Target and secure new opportunities within construction, trades, logistics, and utilities. Seasonal Fleet Management: Partner with clients to manage seasonal ramp-ups, providing flexible rental solutions for cargo vans, pickups (¼ to 1-ton), cube vans, and light-duty dump trucks. Leasing Opportunity Identification: Conduct consultative discovery to uncover fleet growth plans, replacement cycles, and capital constraints. One-Stop Shop Integration: Act as the bridge between departments. Qualify and document leasing leads and facilitate warm handoffs to the leasing sales team to ensure a total fleet solution. Account Retention: Build deep reliance on Zeemac services by understanding specific jobsite requirements and recommending appropriate vehicle solutions. Pipeline Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline in the CRM and provide market feedback on pricing and competitor trends. The Fleet You’ll Represent Cargo Vans: Standard and high-roof models. Pickup Trucks: Comprehensive range from ¼ ton to 1-ton. Specialty Vehicles: Cube vans and light-duty dump trucks. Who You Are Experienced: You have 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience, ideally within the automotive, equipment rental, or transportation industries. Strategic: You don’t just close a deal; you look for the next one. You understand how to transition a rental client into a long-term leasing partner. Self-Motivated: You enjoy the autonomy of the road but have the discipline to maintain an accurate CRM and sales pipeline. Communicator: You can talk shop on a construction site and deliver a polished presentation in a boardroom. Licensed: You have a valid driver’s license and are ready to hit the road daily.
