The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering and maintaining the core infrastructure our clients depend on. From server deployments to complex migrations, this role takes ownership, handles the work that sits beyond the helpdesk, and ensures our environments are built correctly from the start.Job ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Engineering: Design and implement Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity architectureProject Execution: Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects including server builds, domain migrations, cloud transitions, and environment upgradesSystems Ownership: Maintain and optimize client and internal systems including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, SaaS platforms, file services, and identity platformsVirtualization & Backup: Deploy and manage Hyper‑V infrastructure, storage systems, and backup and recovery solutionsNetwork & Device Integration: Install and configure firewalls, VoIP systems, network equipment, and integrate printers and line‑of‑business applicationsEscalation Resolution: Own complex technical issues across server performance, authentication, infrastructure failures, and advanced Microsoft 365 scenariosClient & Team Coordination: Interface with clients, vendors, and internal staff to ensure projects are delivered cleanly and issues are resolved efficientlyWhat You BringExperience: 5+ years in an MSP or IT consulting environment with hands‑on infrastructure deliveryCore Technical Skills: Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Hyper‑VDeployment Capability: Proven ability to execute onsite infrastructure work including server installs, migrations, and environment buildsTroubleshooting: Structured problem‑solving approach with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex issuesCommunication: Clear, professional communication in client‑facing situations and internal coordinationRequirements: Valid G‑class driver’s licence and ability to commute to clients as needed.Why the Role Exists This role is critical to ensure smooth high‑quality deployments that free our leadership to focus on strategy and growth.
