Job Overview Pine Bungalows – Front Office Manager (Seasonal) Property: 52 cabins & 16 hotel rooms on the Athabasca River, Jasper National Park. Position: Temporary, Seasonal, Full‑time (March 2026 – November 2026). Responsibilities Lead front office staff – hiring, training, motivation. Maintain exceptional guest service and front‑desk administration. Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and third parties. Enforce hotel policies and departmental procedures. Document and resolve guest complaints promptly; follow up with departments. Monitor WebRez availability and Extranet systems to maximize revenue and ADR. Process all accounts – invoicing, chasing, payment processing. Assist group sales: processing enquiries, contracting, pre‑stay administration, hosting groups. Close management of labour budget via scheduling; cover shifts adequately. Handle HR matters for departmental staff. Participate in committees and lead departmental meetings. Organize front office records and equipment per hotel policies and legislation. Train staff in emergency situations and procedures. Qualifications Previous hotel or resort Front Office Management experience (1 year required). Excellent knowledge of tourism industry with strong business acumen and exceptional attention to detail. Proven leadership skills and commitment to upholding the highest standards in customer service. Organized, results‑oriented with proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure. Effective organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of hotel safety and security standards and a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment. Well‑developed knowledge of front office and hotel operations. Proven performance management and conflict resolution skills. Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance. Experience with hotel property management systems and proficient in other computer programs, including Microsoft Office. High personal standards to ensure that service and product delivery are maintained in a friendly and courteous, service‑oriented fashion. Good sense of humour and ability to deal with stressful situations calmly and positively. Physical Aspects Frequent standing and walking through shift. Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting. Must be able to carry and lift loads up to 50 lbs regularly. Occasional ascending or ladders, stairs and ramps. Visa Requirements Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
