Position Overview LOCAL Industrial Partners is seeking a driven and results‑oriented Business Development Representative / Manager to lead new business development efforts across Western Canada. This is a hunter role, focused on identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients. The successful candidate will be highly self‑motivated, comfortable working independently, and energized by building a strong pipeline and closing work. The ideal candidate will bring established relationships and experience within mining, commercial/real‑estate development, forest products, or energy, along with the ability to understand and communicate technical service offerings. Key Responsibilities Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across target industries Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects Conduct regular in‑person sales calls, site visits, and client meetings across Western Canada Leverage existing network and develop new relationships with key decision‑makers Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to develop tailored service solutions Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and service offerings Track sales activity, forecasts, and opportunities in CRM or internal systems Represent LOCAL at industry events, conferences, and networking functions Qualifications & Experience 5-10+ years of business development or sales experience in industrial sectors Proven track record of generating and closing new business Experience in mining, energy, manufacturing, or forest products preferred Strong network within Western Canadian industrial markets is an asset Technical background considered a strong asset (Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Construction Management or related field) Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills Highly self‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset Requirements Willingness and ability to travel across Western Canada Based in Calgary, Alberta (preferred) Compensation & Benefits Performance‑driven bonus structure tied to new business development Vehicle allowance or company‑supplied vehicle with fuel Expense account Cell phone allowance Why Join Local?
