About the Role We’re looking for a Contract Grain Buyer / Purchaser to support grain procurement for ethanol production in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. If you’re experienced in grain buying, logistics, or commodity markets — and you thrive in a fast‑paced operational environment — this role offers a great opportunity to make an impact. You’ll be the primary point of contact for grain vendors, ensuring a reliable, cost‑effective feedstock supply while coordinating closely with operations, planning, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day grain purchasing, pricing, contracting, and supply coordination Maintain accurate grain and DDGS pricing aligned with marketing and finance inputs Coordinate feedstock supply with production planning and operations Support long‑range procurement strategy and market‑based purchasing decisions Complete regulatory reporting (Clean Fuel Regulations, Canadian Grain Commission, etc.) Build and maintain strong relationships with grain vendors and internal stakeholders Ensure feedstock availability aligns with production targets Support daily grain marketing and procurement activities Skills and Qualifications Strong analytical and data interpretation skills Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to adapt to changing operational needs Strong relationship‑building skills Required Legally entitled to work in Canada Degree/diploma in business, economics, agriculture, or equivalent experience Experience in scheduling, logistics, or supply coordination Valid Class 5 driver’s licence Strong ability to manage competing priorities in an operational setting Preferred Previous grain buying experience (highly preferred) Knowledge of grain marketing, commodity markets, or agricultural operations Experience with pricing analysis and market‑based purchasing Familiarity with regulatory reporting in agriculture or energy sectors Safety Requirements This is a safety‑sensitive position .
