The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP). What is the project? The Ontario Line ("OL") is a fully integrated, stand‑alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel ("NC") project consists of approximately 7 km of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design‑build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract ("EGS") and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract ("PTUS"), with supporting Early Works. What is the Opportunity? This role is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining quality control activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on the project. The role ensures that all MEP installations comply with the Construction Quality Management Plan, contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicable codes and standards, and the Project Quality Management System (QMS). Responsibilities Conduct on‑site and off‑site quality inspections and witness testing activities to verify compliance with project specifications and Inspection & Test Plans. Coordinate preparation, submission, and implementation of MEP quality documents (ITPs, method statements, checklists, etc.). Coordinate and monitor MEP inspections and tests in accordance with approved ITPs. Track, follow up, and support closure of MEP‑related Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs). Liaise with MEP subcontractors, construction teams, consultants, and the quality department on quality matters. Support the compilation of MEP handover dossiers and turnover package. Maintain accurate quality records in line with the Project QMS. Support internal and external quality audits related to MEP works. Perform inspections on delivered materials and equipment to confirm conformity with approved submittals and quality standards. Document and report any deviations or Non‑Conformances in materials, workmanship, or processes to the Quality Lead. Verify that corrective actions for identified Non‑Conformances are effectively implemented and closed. Check and verify the certifications, qualifications, and accreditations of workers, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure alignment with project requirements. Support field teams with immediate feedback and guidance on quality issues, ensuring swift rectification of minor defects before escalation. Collaborate with construction teams to promote best practices for quality assurance and compliance. Assist in the implementation and tracking of Verification & Validation (V&V) requirements for MEP systems, including supporting traceability between contract requirements, design documents, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspections, testing, and commissioning records. You’ll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies) Have the qualifications demonstrated by certificates of training and experience on transit construction projects. In‑depth knowledge of construction MEP processes, materials, and industry best practices. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting project specifications, drawings, and Inspection & Test Plans. Experience with quality inspection tools, testing methods, and documentation practices. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and construction standards. Ability to identify, document, and manage Non‑Conformances and corrective actions. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
