What You Will Do The Learning Design Consultant role combines learning and technology to design new and enhance existing training products/solutions to support business needs. This includes leading the design, development, implementation and maintenance of eLearning, workshops, social learning and other materials for new and existing initiatives to support Fidelity Canada’s needs. You will provide technical support for the learning management system as required. Leverage knowledge of learning and design principles to create interactive and engaging instructional materials and performance support tools for classroom and web-enabled courses for synchronous and asynchronous education. Work collaboratively with the learning & development team to provide design consultation for projects. Edit course materials, develop integrated content, and facilitate training programs and meetings as required. What We’re Looking For Completion of a university degree, preferably in a learning, design, or communication related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2 years of professional experience. Prior experience with a learning management system and/or eLearning authoring tools (i.e. Captivate, Lectora and/or Storyline) required. Sound knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and methods of evaluation. Background in designing and developing learning solutions. The following would be considered an asset: experience with web development or understanding of web technologies (i.e. HTML, Flash, Javascript); graphic design and course content development.
