Business Development Executive The successful applicant will be responsible for generating revenue growth through new business opportunities, building relationships with current and new clients and leading key partner relationships in the Alberta region. Some travel to meet clients at their offices across Western Canada is required. Qualifications Minimum 10 years' experience selling IT services to enterprise and public sector clients in Alberta, with a preference for experience in the Alberta resources sector Experience finding, developing and closing managed service or managed capacity contracts Proven track record as a Business Development Lead achieving sales objectives and targets Experience using Microsoft 365 and CRM software to manage customer interactions Experience with strategic planning, business management, and successful negotiation Responsibilities Drive the development and execution of PLATO's Alberta growth strategy Lead new-client acquisition and expansion of existing customer relationships across enterprise and government accounts Cultivate, manage, and expand strategic business partner relationships Actively represent the organization at relevant industry events and networking opportunities Own and manage all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting through close Ensure the ongoing accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of CRM data Take a leadership role in developing and delivering strategic proposals Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align on regional strategy and initiatives Maintain precise, up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities Provide timely market feedback and customer insights to internal teams to enhance services and offerings Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and evolving sales methodologies Participate in required training and professional development initiatives PLATO is Canada's only Indigenous‑led, Indigenous‑staffed software testing services firm.
