As a newly established business division of AXA XL Americas, our Middle Markets business focuses on the expansion of AXA XL’s current offerings to Middle Market clients in the Canadian Commercial P&C market. In this role you will be responsible for establishing new broker and client relationships, market and underwrite our Middle Market products and to support growing this exciting new business.ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and marketing of our new products across GL, Property, Auto, Umbrella and Environmental.Underwriting both new and renewal business. Assisting in achieving profitable premium and rate goals, working with actuarial and claims and successfully delivering results consistent with financial plan.Developing, maintaining and servicing broker relationships within the distribution model. Coordinate with brokers to determine their marketing and education needs supported by AXA XL Middle Market.Interacting directly with insureds, brokers and producers and service accounts and brokers.Working collaboratively in a team environment, assisting underwriters, underwriting assistants and management team.Ensuring high quality service standards and compliance with all internal audit guidelines.Acting as a representative of the company and our agents by attending internal/external company functions, agent sponsored and industry events.Meet with brokers and set annual targets, issue monthly status reports, monitor P&L against plan.Take initiative and proactively support broker and market interactions which support growth. Meet with customers and prospects to develop relationships, deliver Middle Market education and to support business targets.QualificationsOutstanding knowledge of the Canadian insurance industry, combined with in-depth technical knowledge of insurance product offerings. Effective broker relationships within the Canadian market.Extensive Middle Market insurance experience (e.g., underwriting, claims, or insurance related business development experience).Consistently pursue opportunities to differentiate AXA XL in the industry through our offerings and how we conduct business.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust insured and broker contacts.Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service focus is a must.Collaborative team player who provides creative solutions and ideas for resolution.Compensation The Canada base salary range for this position is CAD 119,250‑169,250. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location.
