Overview Hi , I’m Abhik, Ashby’s Co-Founder and VP of Engineering. We’re looking for a great (former) engineer with a track record of building impressive products who is now ready to lead and build teams of top engineers. Ashby’s success and ambition mean we’re doubling the Engineering team over the next year, and we need your experience and leadership to do it thoughtfully. Ashby All‑In‑One is powerful, easy to use, and replaces the product suites of several venture‑backed companies – with a better experience. Notable customers include Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. We have tens of millions in ARR, a 100% YoY growth rate, very low churn, and plenty of runway. We achieve incredible speed and quality by discarding many industry norms and being optimistic about engineers. Engineers get the freedom and agency to be truly exceptional – for example, we value product‑wide ownership over breaking work down into small tickets. As an Engineering Manager you’ll work closely with me, Ben, Colin, and your peers to grow the team and continue scaling this culture. Responsibilities Manage 3–5 engineers and hire an additional 3–5, covering a variety of specializations including Product, Site Reliability, and Design. Provide feedback on product and technical specs to help engineers identify where to cut scope or improve quality – you influence and coach, but final decisions rest with the team. Grow engineers until they can take large, loosely defined projects and deliver them with minimal intervention. Jump into our systems and codebase to debug customer issues, ship small bug fixes, or improve developer experience. Lead department‑wide and company‑wide initiatives such as: rethinking pull‑request review processes to speed them while maintaining quality; designing and improving interview processes based on candidate and team feedback; improving data generation and simulation for demo accounts. Benefits Competitive salary and equity – 10‑year exercise window for stock options. Unlimited PTO. Minimum 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave (longer for non‑US employees to meet regional requirements). Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. $100/month education budget (with manager approval for larger items such as conferences). Top‑tier health insurance for you and your dependents (US) or high‑quality supplemental health insurance (all other countries), fully paid by Ashby. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Ashby provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
