The role supports data collection from diverse sources and collaborates with internal teams, other ministries, and external stakeholders to inform policy development, program evaluation and strategic planning.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport economic evaluation and modelling of health programs and policies.Conduct statistical and econometric analyses of health expenditures, cost drivers and demographic trends to inform decision‑making.Compile, validate and analyse healthcare data from multiple sources.Prepare briefings, reports, presentations and Action Requests for senior leadership.Support policy and program evaluation through research, environmental scans and jurisdictional comparisons.Assist in developing and refining analytical models, methodologies and tools, including sensitivity analysis and benchmarking approaches.Contribute to dashboards, visualisations and reporting tools.Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation activities to support effective program and policy outcomes.Qualifications and ExperienceUniversity graduation in Economics, Health Economics, Public Health Administration, Statistics or Mathematics plus 2 years progressively responsible related experience.Equivalencies: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or vice‑versa.Preferred AssetsExperience in economic analysis.Experience forecasting using computerised applications.Experience with experimental design, sampling methods, dataset management and statistical software (SAS, R, Excel, Access, SQL, Oracle).Experience developing dashboards using SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI or similarUnderstanding of Alberta’s health system, funding structure and health data.Knowledge of project management and resource coordination.Ideal CandidateDemonstrated knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics and economic analysis methods.Experience with stakeholder engagement.Familiarity with health policies and health economics methods.Notes This position may be used to fill future permanent or temporary vacancies across the Government of Alberta at the same or lower classification and salary levels.Contact For further information on this posting or to request accommodation during the recruitment process, contact Jagreet Uppal at .#J-18808-Ljbffr
