The Opportunity Canada Gives is seeking a sophisticated relationship builder and business development leader to grow our presence across Western Canada. This role is focused on developing strategic relationships within the financial advisory ecosystem, including investment advisory firms, private wealth teams, family offices, accounting firms, legal professionals, and other centers of influence serving high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. The successful candidate will help advisors and their clients navigate charitable giving strategies with confidence, positioning Canada Gives as a trusted philanthropic partner and enabling more impactful giving outcomes. This is a senior external-facing role requiring commercial acumen, passion for philanthropy, relationship depth, consultative selling capability, and comfort operating in complex client environments. Key Responsibilities Build and expand strategic referral and partnership relationships across Western Canada, with a focus on: Portfolio Managers Wealth advisory firms Private Banking relationships Family offices Tax and Estate planning professionals Legal advisors and philanthropic intermediaries Represent Canada Gives as a trusted thought partner in philanthropic planning, charitable tax strategy, and donor-advised fund solutions. Partner with advisors to help them structure charitable giving strategies aligned with clients’ financial, estate, family legacy, and philanthropic objectives. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, building a robust pipeline of prospective advisor and institutional relationships. Deliver compelling presentations, educational sessions, and advisor-facing thought leadership on charitable giving strategies and philanthropy solutions. Work closely with internal philanthropy, operations, and client service teams to ensure exceptional advisor and donor experience. Maintain strong visibility in relevant regional professional communities, events, and industry networks. Track pipeline activity, relationship development, and business performance against defined growth objectives. Provide market intelligence and strategic feedback to leadership regarding advisor trends, competitive dynamics, and client needs. Ideal Candidate You are a commercially minded relationship leader who understands both the private wealth ecosystem and the emotional/intellectual dimensions of philanthropy. You likely bring: 7–15+ years in wealth management, private banking, business development, philanthropic advisory, or related professional services strong existing relationships within the Western Canadian advisory market understanding of charitable tax planning, planned giving, estate strategies, or adjacent advisory disciplines confidence engaging sophisticated HNW/UHNW clients and their advisors excellent executive communication and presentation skills consultative business development capability rather than transactional sales orientation high professionalism, discretion, and relationship maturity CFP, TEP, CFA, MFA-P, or related designations would be considered assets.
