What You Will Be Doing Reporting to the Supervisor, Family Engagement Services, the Family Engagement Facilitator is dedicated to delivering high‑quality Family Group Conferences, Family Support Circles, ceremonies, and intensive family searches. The outcomes of these interventions include identifying potential placements, expanding support networks, and increasing extended family and community involvement. All children and youth in care should be referred to Family Engagement Services to explore extended and kin support options. Receive referrals and facilitate high‑quality Family Group Conferences and Family Circles Provide trauma‑informed care and support to children, youth, and families Conduct intensive Family Searches to expand support networks and locate potential placements Work collaboratively with children, youth, families, agency staff, community members, Children and Family Services, Indigenous communities, and bands to support families Contribute to research and evaluation efforts to measure the effectiveness of circle processes Maintain a focus on general wellbeing, trauma, and attachment, and assist families in connecting to their culture, community, and ceremonies Complete administrative responsibilities and attend required meetings and trainings What You Will Bring To The Role Diploma or degree in a human services field, with relevant experience Experience working with Children and Family Services and collaborative service delivery is beneficial Experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds Knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively work with individuals affected by trauma Proficiency in delivering trauma‑informed care What You Can Expect Training: comprehensive onboarding/orientation process which includes service‑specific, leading‑edge training, and agency‑wide core training Our Children Are Sacred Youth Suicide Prevention Training or ASIST Suicide Intervention Training (within 3 months of start date) Standard First Aid Level C CPR (within 3 months of start date) Feedback: a strong reflective supervision model that provides regular formal and informal opportunities for feedback Performance Coaching: formal and informal coaching regarding the development of personal and professional growth and development Reasonable Accommodation: The Family Centre will provide reasonable accommodation when requested by a qualified applicant or employee Compensation and Benefits Starting salary range of $50,461 - $53,615 (commensurate with level of education and experience) 36.5‑hour work week (evening and weekend availability required) Fully paid Group Benefits Plan Health spending account 3 weeks vacation RRSP matching Ongoing paid training Mileage compensation Paid sick time (up to 8 days per calendar year) Agency‑wide social events Employee Resource Groups Closing Date: Until Filled #J-18808-Ljbffr
