Aviya has an opening for an Electronic Obsolescence Project Manager to join our engineering group in Longueuil, Quebec.Applicants are kindly asked to include an English resume as part of their application for this position.** Specific Position DutiesProvide project management leadership, engineering liaison and technical expertise. Perform supplier obsolescence risk surveys & reports. Evaluate supplier’s risk mitigation proposals (Engineering change vs Last Time Buy). Plan and coordinate the execution of Engineering Changes (obsolete part replacement). Leverage Engineering & Supplier network to help drive various obsolescence technical issues to closure. Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the Electronic Obsolescence Management Process. Provide occasional onsite technical support at suppliers. Qualifications For PositionBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years pertinent experience in Engineering/Operations linked to Electrical/Electronic components. Relevant Aerospace or AutomotiveExperience/knowledge is required. Must possess knowledge of Electronic Obsolescence management. Experience in Project Management is a must(PMP certification not mandatory). Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills. Must be autonomous, organized, and efficient. Possess strong leadership and communication skills Must be bilingual in French and English Willing to occasionally travel to support our worldwide supply base.
