This position delivers Family Life Education and parenting workshops to the community and liaises with schools, government institutions and other voluntary agencies to provide integrative support to individuals and families.Reports To: Program ManagerKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms intake duties for incoming calls/drop-ins according to intake rosterConducts counselling interviews with individuals and familiesProvides assessment, intervention and evaluation to individual and family cases assignedLiaises with community agencies, schools and other institutions to receive case referrals and provide best possible services to clientsMaintains and updates client records in accordance with the Division’s set standardAttends case conferences and presents case scenarios regularly for team members’ mutual support and sharingDelivers parenting/family life education workshopsEnsures all services meet the accreditation standardsWorks closely with staff members of other S.U.C.C.E.S.S. divisions/offices in providing joint support to individuals and familiesPerforms report writing and other related administration workMaintains statistical records for accountability, funding application/report and program development purposesAttends case conferences, supervision, team meetings and training opportunities as requiredEducation, Training and ExperienceMaster’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, or Clinical PsychologyRegistered Clinical Counsellor membershipAt least three (3) years of counselling work experience is preferableExperience in conflict resolution and case managementExperience in facilitating groupsKnowledge on case planning and case management principles and techniquesJob Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdditional language may be an asset when required to meet operational needs in serving communities with specific language requirements as this position supports Spanish, Ukrainian, Farsi and French speaking communities as part of our contractual obligationsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent program planning, time management and organizational skillExcellent multitasking skills and flexibleProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and internet skillsAdditional InformationClear criminal record checkFlexible to work on weekends and evenings due to work schedulesEqual Opportunity Statement S.U.C.C.ES.S. is an equal opportunity employer.
