The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Senior Cross-Functional SAFe Vertical Integrator to join our Engineering Transverse Strategy Organization based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you jointly collaborate with all streams and functions of the enterprise, from Digital to Engineering, including Manufacturing, Operations and Customer Support. You will be part of the Engineering Transverse Process, Methods, Tools and Data (PMTD) Strategy team responsible to bridge the gap between strategic business capabilities and technical execution within our Engineering Transverse Strategy team integrating across all business functions. You are the architect ensuring that when a requirement changes in the Systems Architecture, it is correctly reflected in Manufacturing and supported by Customer Service years later. Your role as Senior Cross-Functional SAFe Vertical Integrator will be to act as the "connective tissue" across the entire Aircraft Value Stream. You will champion the alignment of Processes, Methods, Tools, and Data (PMTD) with our PLM and Business capability Roadmap, ensuring a seamless digital thread from initial Concept (Systems Architecture) through to Requirements and V&V Management, Design of Embedded Systems, Equipment, Avionics, Systems Installation and Design and Sizing of the Aerostructure, to Design to Production, Design to Services and finally to Support the Aircraft Fleet In-Service. Operating within an Agile SAFe environment, you will break down silos between Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to deliver a unified, efficient, and high-quality engineering capabilities and ecosystem. Your challengesIn a complex environment, supporting process owners and business architects, lead the definition and deployment of unified engineering processes and a set of tools to support the integration of our engineering competency centres, as well as peripheral functions such as Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Customer Services. The main challenge is to gradually replace disparate legacy systems with a coherent strategy, notably through CM-PLM transformation, to ensure seamless collaboration on projects such as production rate increases. Govern and plan the integration of new, more agile methodologies into our product development and R&T processes, reconciling the flexibility and speed required for early innovation with the rigorous structure and certification requirements of major aerospace programs. As a key player in our CM-PLM transformation, ensure the synchronicity of initiatives, data consistency and process cohesion from initial design and R&T phases through to design, manufacturing and in-service support for both new and existing products. Strategic Vertical IntegrationEnd-to-End AlignmentDrive the integration of PMTD strategies across the full product lifecycle. Value Stream CoordinationAct as a key architect within the SAFe framework to map and optimize value streams spanning multiple business functions. Business Capability TranslationTranslate complex business needs into actionable PLM and PMTD requirements. Domain Leadership & HarmonizationServe as the integration lead for specific Business Capability Domains, ensuring tool and process coherence in: Systems Engineering: Aircraft Systems Architecture, Requirements Management, V&V, and Embedded Systems Design. Physical Design: Equipment, Avionics, Systems Installation, and Aerostructure Design & Sizing. Lifecycle Transition: "Design to Production" (handoff to Manufacturing) and "Design to Services" (handoff to Support). Fleet Support: Enabling data continuity for Support the Aircraft Fleet In-Service. Transverse Enablement Configuration ManagementDefine and enforce the strategy for maintaining the digital twin configuration across all lifecycle phases. Design Quality ManagementEmbed quality checks and validation standards directly into the PMTD workflow. Business EnablementEnsure that tools and data architectures support the day-to-day realities of the engineering workforce, minimizing friction and maximizing adoption. Your boarding passYou hold an engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience; Minimum 10 years of experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive engineering, with at least 5 years focused on PLM strategy, digital transformation, or cross-functional PMTD capabilities; experience in large-scale implementation or business transformation projects is preferred. Highly proficient in aircraft program development and engineering support activities; knowledgeable about configuration management, change management, DOA, production requirement certification and PLM expertise areas. Strong project management skills; ability to set priorities and align project members. Strong IT project management and application development skills (Waterfall, Agile, Scaled Agile). Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and French. Hands‑on experience with SAFe, ideally as a Solution Train Engineer (STE) or Solution Architect; deep understanding of MBSE and familiarity with major PLM platforms. Exceptional ability to influence without authority, navigate cross‑functional politics, and communicate complex technical strategies to executive management.
