QA Lead - Regulatory Reporting (Basel III / BCAR / NCR / Pillar III) Work Model: Toronto - Hybrid (3 days in office) Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced QA Lead to perform end-to-end quality assurance and data validation for Banking and Capital Calculations regulatory reporting systems. This is a mostly automation-based role with a strong focus on Basel III and OSFI regulatory reporting, complex data validation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and data governance standards. Perform end-to-end QA and data validation for Banking and Capital Calculations regulatory reporting systems Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for Basel III and OSFI regulatory reports including BCAR, NCR, Pillar III, and LRR Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex financial and regulatory datasets Perform data-level QA using complex SQL queries to validate source-to-target mappings and calculations Collaborate with business analysts, regulatory SMEs, data engineers, and developers to understand regulatory logic and testing requirements Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, ensuring regulatory compliance Participate in regulatory audits, reviews, and validation exercises Automate regression and data validation tests using Python-based frameworks (where applicable) Leverage automation tools and GitHub Copilot to improve QA productivity and coverage Ensure alignment with data governance, controls, and regulatory change management processes. Must-Have Skills 10+ years of experience in QA testing and automation, with at least 8 10+ years in Banking or Capital Calculations 8+ years of strong, hands‑on experience with Basel III regulatory 8+ reporting Strong understanding of financial products, risk metrics, and regulatory calculations 3+ years of extensive experience in data-centric QA automation and 3+ validation 5+ years of advanced SQL experience, including joins, sub queries, 5+ aggregations, and performance tuning Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working as a QA Lead, including leading at least one automation project Strong experience validating large regulatory and financial datasets Ability to automate QA testing using Python Experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and automation Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM) Soft Skills Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy, especially for regulatory data Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders Proactive mindset with ownership of QA deliverables Ability to work effectively under regulatory deadlines Education Bachelor’s degree required; experience prioritized #J-18808-Ljbffr
