Senior Manager, Tax (Income & Indirect Tax) Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Tax to lead income and indirect tax functions within a dynamic and growing organization. This role will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, and advisory, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while maintaining full compliance with Canadian tax regulations.The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving tax strategy, managing audits, and leading a high-performing tax team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of tax planning strategies aligned with corporate goals, optimizing tax efficiency while managing risk.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.Compliance & Reporting:Oversee the preparation and review of all tax filings, including corporate income tax, sales tax (GST/HST/PST), excise tax, and non-resident filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Legislative & Regulatory Oversight:Monitor and interpret changes in federal and provincial tax legislation, proactively advising the business on implications and ensuring compliance.Audit Management:Lead tax audits and inquiries from government authorities and external auditors, managing risk and ensuring timely resolution of issues.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to support business initiatives, transactions, and strategic decisions.Advisory & Business Partnering:Provide expert guidance on the tax implications of business activities, investments, and operational changes.Process Improvement & Controls:Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field6+ years of progressive tax experience in Big 4 or public accounting and/or industryStrong technical expertise in Canadian income tax and indirect tax (GST/HST/PST)Proven experience managing tax compliance, audits, and reporting requirementsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is an assetCompletion of CPA In-Depth Tax Program or Master of Taxation is an assetBilingualism (English/French) is considered an assetStrategic thinking and problem-solvingStrong leadership and team development skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementHigh attention to detail and analytical capabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhy Join Us?Opportunity to play a key strategic role within the organizationCollaborative and high-performing team environmentExposure to complex and impactful tax initiativesCompetitive compensation and career growth opportunitiesCandidates must be eligible to work in Canada#J-18808-Ljbffr
