Associate Account Manager, Orthopedics (Greater Toronto Area GTA, Ontario, Canada) You will be a product consultant in the Surgical product portfolio, specializing in Hip and Knee Arthroscopy, Trauma, and Robotics. Responsibilities Deliver the Orthopedics sales targets in cooperation with other sales. Develop an effective territory/account sales strategy and present it to management for approval. Maintain market and account analysis models, forecast accurately, and develop strategies to improve sales and increase market share for all product lines. Implement therapy promotional/sales programs in coordination with marketing communication, education, clinical and training. Build strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers and influential individuals in the purchasing process to enhance the Smith & Nephew brand and image. Coordinate and liaise with Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers and other Smith & Nephew businesses regarding activities within the assigned territory. Set country/district/territory guidelines to leverage resources and coordinate shared resources and services delivered within the district network. Provide business and field input in regional initiatives, actively participate in and support the implementation of strategic programs. Assist with the execution of Medical Education programs as part of overall Sales & Marketing Plans to support HCP education. Establish relationships with Key Economic Leaders (KELs) to maintain understanding of product performance, market trends and opportunities. Implement and drive tender management strategies through expert input for all Orthopedic RFPs, quotations, contracts and enquiries. Attend and participate in key professional congresses and events as required. Provide procedural implant support to the clinical team as needed. Provide “on‑call” coverage for orthopaedic cases that may include evenings and weekends (schedule determined by the Account Manager or RSM). Ensure that consignment and other stock levels are accounted for and controlled, including active management of capital equipment and loaners. Build strong business relationships with key decision makers and influential individuals in the purchasing process. Qualifications Understanding of sales dynamics in community and academic teaching hospitals. Ability to sell in a value‑based health‑care system, use CRM sales tools, and lead account management strategies. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills. Travel Requirements Within the designated sales territory with 2‑4 overnight trips per month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences. May require “on‑call” coverage for trauma cases that include evenings and weekends (schedule determined by the Regional Sales Manager).
