Quality Assurance Supervisor Masson-Angers, QC; on-site Job Summary The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all cultivation, harvest, processing‑adjacent, and storage activities at the site meet the requirements of the Cannabis Act, Cannabis Regulations, and internal Quality Management System (QMS) standards. This role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems designed to ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Working closely with cultivation, post‑harvest, facilities, maintenance, sanitation, and supply chain teams, the QA Supervisor provides oversight of Good Production Practices (GPP), sanitation programs, environmental monitoring, pest control, and record‑keeping systems. The position ensures that all activities affecting product quality are controlled, verified, and adequately documented. Key Accountabilities Supervise the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of GPP‑compliant systems across all operations. Evaluate operational processes against regulatory and quality requirements and coordinate with functional departments to close compliance gaps. Maintain a compliant environment regarding sanitation, pest control, waste handling, and record‑keeping. Oversee quality systems including deviations, CAPA, change control, complaint investigations, batch release, and document control. Review and approve cultivation‑related documentation such as batch records, sanitation logs, nutrient mix records, environmental monitoring reports, and calibration documentation. Oversee annual product quality reviews and internal audit programs. Supervise Quality Assurance personnel supporting cultivation, harvest, trimming, production, sanitation, and release activities. Participate in daily QA meetings to communicate quality performance indicators and address operational issues. Provide QA decisions regarding non‑conformances and product disposition. Conduct internal GPP audits and support external audits of contractors, service providers, and suppliers. Participate in regulatory inspections and facility tours, ensuring robust representation of site quality systems. Partner with cultivation, facilities, production and maintenance teams to ensure consistent execution of quality and regulatory requirements across all activities. Provide technical quality guidance for new processes, equipment, facility changes, and operational improvements. Train, coach, and schedule QA team members to ensure adequate quality oversight across all shifts. Drive performance, motivation, and clear expectations for quality compliance and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and due diligence. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in a relevant field (science, agriculture, quality management) preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control, ideally in cannabis, food, natural health products, or pharmaceutical environments. Strong knowledge of the Cannabis Act, Cannabis Regulations, GPP, GACP, and related regulatory frameworks. Proven leadership experience with the ability to supervise and mentor QA staff. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail. Experience with inventory management systems considered an asset. Ability to work effectively in a controlled and fast‑paced regulated environment. Must meet security clearance requirements under the Cannabis Regulations to obtain QAP status.
