Lead Full Stack Developer - Specialist I, Software Engineering Join UST as a Lead Full Stack Developer and help shape modern, cloud native platforms used by millions while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.ResponsibilitiesLead design and development of scalable, maintainable full stack applicationsSet technical direction across development, architecture, and platform improvementsWork within an Agile squad alongside engineers, product owners, and business stakeholdersCoach and support team members, fostering a healthy, inclusive, and high performing team cultureTranslate complex AI, cloud, and architectural concepts into clear actionable insights for non technical stakeholdersDesign and enhance CI/CD pipelines, including automation and agent based integrationsAct as an in house technical expert, resolving complex engineering challengesIdentify delivery risks early and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomesQualifications6+ years experience building end to end production grade applicationsStrong front end expertise with Angular (React experience is a plus)Deep backend experience with Java or Node.js2+ years hands on cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or OpenShift), including Docker and KubernetesAdvanced Git skills, including branching and merging strategiesHands on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and deploymentsAbility to translate Figma designs into high quality, pixel perfect UI codeStrong knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and software design patternsExperience working in high frequency delivery environments, shipping to production dailyProven use of AI assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude Code) to improve developer productivityProduction support experience using observability tools like Splunk or DynatraceExperience integrating intelligent agents into CI/CD pipelines for automation of reviews, testing, and deploymentsLocation and Compensation Ontario – Hybrid. Compensation Range: $115,000 – $144,000.Benefits Full‑time employees accrue a minimum of 10 days paid vacation per year, 6 days paid sick leave, paid holidays, and paid bereavement leave.
