The role is accountable for planning, delivery, and evaluation of clinical patient care services to meet the needs of residents within the Interior Health service delivery area. Key responsibilities include: Develop and oversee an integrated health delivery system across the continuum of care within the assigned area. Ensure tactical planning, financial and business operations, and service delivery activities align with the strategic services plan. Provide sound financial management, preparing budgets and monitoring program outcomes. Partner with the Provincial Health Services Authority for planning, management, and implementation of provincially delivered programs. Foster innovation and evidence‑based research to improve local decision‑making. Develop and maintain a multi‑year people management plan aligning with strategic HR directions. Adhere to agreements and policy commitments with the Ministry of Health, British Columbia Medical Association, and the Health Employers’ Association of British Columbia. Collaborate with the Chief Project Officer on major construction projects. Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, patients, volunteers, and external partners to align business operations. Build relationships with elected officials, government agencies, hospital districts, Indigenous leaders, advocacy groups, and foundations. Maintain a healthy and safe work environment in alignment with IH’s Occupational Health & Safety Program. Perform other related duties as assigned.
