What is the opportunity? Senior Manager, Procurement will provide Procurement support for the RBC Technology & Operations (T&O) platform while influencing sourcing decisions, driving supplier consolidation, cost savings and cost avoidance efforts. This role will partner with senior management to proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high risk/complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives. Responsibilities Negotiate complex supplier contracts, support business groups in managing supplier contracts and relationships, and draft and make necessary amendments to current contracts as necessary Create plans to identify or recommend alternative suppliers against the sourcing execution plan, to maximize service levels and procurement activities, and create alignment to long‑term business strategies Develop and implement global efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures, RFPs, new suppliers and decision‑making evaluations Build effective and strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders (including executive level) by understanding key needs and dynamics across stakeholder groups, decision makers and influencers Secure stakeholder support for complex decisions (e.g. unpopular, high‑risk, contentious) Identify, research and prioritize possible sourcing opportunities through internal spend analysis, knowledge of business unit, potential savings and/or business need Provide mentoring and coaching to develop skills and abilities of team members to optimize future job performance Analyze complex procurement challenges and assist in developing solutions that best meet business needs Must‑have 7+ years’ experience in global procurement, sourcing and leading and supporting stakeholder interactions/relationship management Core expertise in IT sourcing categories including software, professional services, enterprise applications, IT hardware, telecom, cloud computing, etc. A proven track record of leading deals and negotiating agreements with mega‑vendors Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations Deep understanding of both commercial and legal contractual terms negotiated in technology contracts Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Nice‑to‑have Related purchasing field or procurement designation Strong contract acumen Strong analytical skills Skills Contract Management Contract Review Decision Making Interpersonal Relationship Management Negotiation Sourcing and Procurement Supplier Evaluations Waterfall Model Benefits A comprehensive total rewards program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities Ability to make a difference and lasting impact Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high‑performing team A world‑class training program in financial services Flexible work/life balance options Job Details Address: BAY WELLINGTON TOWER, 181 BAY ST, Toronto City: Toronto Country: Canada Work hours/week: 37.5 Employment Type: Full time Platform: CHIEF LEGAL & ADMIN OFFICE GRP Job Type: Regular Pay Type: Salaried Posted Date: Application Deadline: #J-18808-Ljbffr
