Duties & Responsibilities Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner Use tact and diplomacy when on duty Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive Maintain and enforce access control procedures Solid understanding of emergency and standard operating procedures Deal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property in a fair and safe manner Maintain a detailed memo book and prepare incident reports on all matters Conduct periodic patrols of property either by foot Investigate incidents and occurrences Draft detailed incident and occurrence reports Maintain the peace, safety, and security of all patrons and clients on the property De‑escalate emergency/crisis situations Assist emergency and law enforcement personnel Access control, line management, customer service Assist with daily operations as needed, required, or directed Qualifications & Skills Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot for extended periods (8-12 hours) Valid AB Security license Valid First Aid certificate High degree of professionalism At least 1 year of prior security experience Experience in Loss Prevention / Retail Security is considered an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong command and fluency in English, both written and verbal Proactive approach to all onsite situations Capability to retain all relevant information provided by management and designated staff Ability to take constructive feedback when appropriate Unafraid to attend highly stressful emergency situations Ability to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment both indoors and outdoors as required Handle stress and pressure, making sound decisions under duress Comfortable working in a busy highly populated area High attention to detail / observational awareness Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, and ability to work productively and efficiently in a team 1 year of security experience Tactically trained Certification Requirements Alberta Security License First Aid PPCT/CTSS/NVCI Benefits Growth Potential We are growing rapidly and invest in people who prove themselves.
